Faustino Aizkorbe (Olloqui, Navarra, 1948) is one of the spanish sculptors of greater national and international projection.
He begins his works with an exhibition of sculpture in which Jorge Oteiza is his mentor, working in the assembly and prefacing with a letter the catalog of such exposure.
After being presented as a sculptor in New York by Joe Padulo, he performs different international exposures: Art Miami, Art Palm Beach, Art Basel, Arch, Art Poland, Bologna Art, Art Tokyo, etc.
Among his works, the University of Purdue, Indianapolis, USA, stands out where he was appointed Honorary Member of Class 52.
The materials which he works with the most advanced techniques are wood, bronze, Corten steel, the Black Marquina and Calatorao stone and marble Carrara, which he gives a formal admirable perfection.
His desire is that public sculpture brings peace and reduces the drama of the modern era.
